Timing and Story Telling through Television Production: My "Break" from Animation
I like telling stories. I've been doing it for a long time, whether it meant trouble or not. Seriously, what kind of Southerner doesn't know how to embellish? But what do you do when you don't get the opportunities you are looking for in your art- you work on other skills, like timing, learning the editing process, sound, production. There was a day when most directors were old prop managers, lighting techs and camera operators. There is an idea floating around that if you have broad experience you are not good at anything. I can tell you that you can not become an expert at anything without experience. Experience in production is experience that builds on itself, and you can learn so much from every project and the people you meet through work, which is why I stay in this business. How has editing for television helped my story telling? I can't even explain it, I'm worlds away from where I started.

Zebra Love
This is a work in progress, but I like where it's going. I need to get my behind to the zoo and talk to the animals sometime soon.

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants
There are some fantastic artists among us. No detail is lost in the size of these sculptures. They are simple, elegant and they won't be here for long. They are the work David Adickes. I shot these pictures with my drone.

Miss Universe 2013
The annual production of Miss Universe 2013 was held in Moscow, Russia this year and it was an unbelievable opportunity. I value my Miss Universe experiences, they are definitely unique and rewarding experiences and the people behind them are incredible.

And cut...
Messing around between editing segments. What can I say... really wish I had more time to draw these days.
